A nice map of Long Bay and Bloody Bay.

  • By the afternoon it was usually cloudy, and it did rain a couple of times during our trip. Most of the time, though, it was just like this.
  • There it is... the path to paradise!
  • Hmm... is that an almond?
  • Don't worry, those aren't rocks in the water. A big storm pushed lots of seaweed into the bay just before we arrived. Normally, the water is crystal clear, and as the week went on, most of the seaweed disappeared.
  • This place is perfect... calm, quiet, beautiful... and no vendors asking to braid your hair, or if you smoke.
  • The famed Red Flag Service: During the middle of the day, you can grab a red flag. Whenever you need a drink, be it water, soda, or something more daring, just plant your flag in the ground, and someone will come and take your order... not that the bar is that far away, but sometimes, you just don't feel like getting up.
  • The only real waves you'll get are those from the jetskis.
  • The Paddle Boat, just one of the many included activities. Hilliary and Jonathan thought that it would be wonderful fun, but as it turns out, they're not in very good shape. Maybe next year.
  • They tell you not to paddle outside of the bay. Some people don't make it 100 feet from shore before giving up!
  • The Watersports staff is wonderful... just like all of the staff members we met!
  • A few informational signs posted on the beach, which also serve to mark the approximate boundary of the Couples Negril area.
  • A nice map of Long Bay and Bloody Bay.
  • Looking south toward the main Couples Negril beach... and remember what Eric the Eel says about saving the reefs.
  • Couples Negril, working to be environmentally friendly.
  • The Hobie Cat, also included.
  • Pretty to look at, and supposedly fun to sail on... if you know how. We saw a couple have trouble, requiring them to push their craft back to the watersports area.
  • A person could spend all day out here (and many do).
  • The small swimming pool used for the resort scuba course.
  • You can scuba dive every day, and it's all included. Hilliary took her dive card, but decided to wait until the next trip to take advantage.
  • The Watersports Hut. This is the place to sign up for all of the great included activities, such as the Glass Bottom Boat, the Snorkeling Trip, and the Catamaran Cruise to Pirates Cave.
